Sometimes you don't get the hyperlink bar, which contains features like the Search (the Web) icon and the link-creating URL fields. Reinstalling sometimes makes it appear.

The hyperlink bar, which contains the icons you can use to browse and search, sometimes isn't displayed by default. Choose View > Toolbars > Hyperlink Bar to display it.
