| Virtual hosts are created using the Administration console. -
Create a new virtual host. -
Double-click on the Services node in the left pane. The node should expand and display a list of services. -
Select the Virtual Hosts node. Any previously defined virtual hosts will be displayed. -
Select "Create a New Virtual Host" in the right pane. -
Type in the name of the new virtual host. -
Optionally, you may choose to assign a default Web application to this virtual host. -
Click "Create." -
Specify HTTP and logging parameters. -
Select the Logging tab and fill in HTTP access log attributes. -
Click on the HTTP tab and enter the HTTP parameters. -
Specify the servers that will run to this virtual host. -
Click the Targets tab. -
Click the Servers tab. This will display a list of the available servers. -
Click at least one server in the available column and use the right arrow button to move the server to the chosen column. -
Optionally, you may specify the clusters that will use this virtual host. In order to do this, you need to have previously defined a WebLogic cluster. -
Click on the Targets tab. -
Click the Clusters tab. This will display a list of available clusters. -
Click a cluster in the available column and use the right arrow button to move the cluster to the chosen column. The virtual host is targeted on all the servers the cluster. -
Associate Web Applications with the virtual host. -
Select the Web Applications node in the left panel. -
Click the Web Application you want to associate with the virtual host. -
Click the Targets tab in the right pane. -
Select the Virtual Hosts tab. -
Select a virtual host in the "available" list and use the right arrow button to move the virtual host to the chosen list. |
