The Clip event handler is very similar to the Button event handler. Clip events dictate what will happen when a certain event is evoked by playback in Flash (see Figure 10.2).

Mouse Down

The mouse button is pressed.

Mouse Up

The mouse button is released.

Mouse Move

The mouse is moved.

Key Down

A key on the keyboard is pressed.

Key Up

A key on the keyboard is released.

Enter Frame

Each frame of the movie clip is updated.

Load

The movie clip first appears in the Timeline.

Unload

The first frame after the movie clip is removed from the Timeline.

Data

When either external data or Small Web Format (SWF) movies are loaded into the movie clip with the action loadVariables or loadMovie .
