In This Chapter

As discussed throughout this book, security is more than network security - it affects the entire enterprise solution. I have discussed the security requirements needed for a secure solution. Namely, the following security services are required:

Authentication

Authorization

Data confidentiality

Data integrity

Non- repudiation

This chapter presents a brief description, with emphasis on the preceding security services, of three application servers: BEA's WebLogic, IBM's WebSphere, and Inprise Application Server.
