Java Security Solutions

This chapter presented the basics of BEA's WebLogic Server, IBM's WebSphere Server, and Borland's Enterprise Server, and how they handle security. These three servers are intensive, and it is out of the scope of this book to provide you with a detailed description of what they provide. This chapter gives you a taste of what these servers offer.

Although all three servers are based on the J2EE specification, there are differences among them. When selecting a server for your application you should consider what services the server provides and which one gives the best support for your needs.
