Your computer name defines how other computers can spot you on a network. You can give your computer any name you choose. Changing the computer name will not affect how you log in.

1. Click on the Launch button . The Launch menu will appear.

2. Click on Settings . A menu will appear.

3. Click on Rename Computer . The Rename Computer dialog box will appear.

4. Type a name for the computer. You can give it any name, but the name can't contain spaces or special characters .

5. Click on OK . The computer will now have a new name.
