The Netscape Navigator window will make your Internet surfing experience easier. Every Toolbar can be turned off or on, depending on your personal preference.

Click on View . The View menu will appear.

Click on Show/Hide . A submenu will appear.

Click on the Toolbar option you'd like to turn on or off. Those with a check mark beside them are already turned on.

Toolbar . Provides you with the common navigation tools for surfing the Internet.

Location Field . This is where you enter the URL (Universal Resource Locator) for the Web site that you'd like to visit.

Personal Toolbar . You can access frequently visited sites using this Toolbar.

Tab Bar . The Tab bar allows you to surf multiple pages at one time, without having to open a separate Netscape window.

Viewing Area . This is where the contents of the Web page can be seen.

Status Bar . Provides you with information on the site that you are visiting. Typically this includes the name of the site and the percentage of the site that has been loaded.

Component Bar . Netscape is actually a suite of several different programs including a mail program, a Web page creator, and an instant messenger. The Component bar gives you access to these other programs.
