In cases where direct Fibre Channel access to the SAN is not available or desired from your clients, it is possible to use File Sharing Services such as AFP or SNB to reshare the volume or portions of the SAN volume over Ethernet. Remember that the file server must be directly connected via Fibre Channel to the SAN in order to reshare out files over Ethernet. Use Server Admin (Applications/Server) to configure and enable sharing services on the File Sharing Server.
