Printing Publications

The whole point of creating publications is to publish them, which ”except for Web pages ”means printing the publications you've created. If you have a printer connected to your computer you can print publications right away. If you have special printing needs, however, you might want to use a commercial printer who can deliver high-quality color documents. The Pack And Go Wizard compacts all the information a printer needs across multiple disks, embedded fonts, includes linked graphics, and prints composite and separation proofs. If needed, you can double-click the Unpack.exe file to unpack and open the Pack And Go file.

Print a Publication on Your Printer

Click the File menu, and then click Print.

Specify the pages that you want to print.

If necessary, click Advanced Print Settings to select separation or composite options, resolution, printer's marks, bleeds, font substitution, and special print output.

Click OK.

Create a File for Commercial Printing

Click the File menu, point to Pack And Go, and then click Take To A Commercial Printing Service.

Click Next to begin creating the file.

Specify the drive and directory where you want to save the file. Click Next to continue.

Click the graphics and font information you want to include. Click Next to continue.

Click Finish.
