Connecting Text Frames You can control the way the text flows in your publications . You can link and unlink frames that are adjacent to each other on the same page or different pages. Special text frame buttons appear when text is in the overflow area or when two or more text frames are linked in a chain. You can insert continued notices to help readers follow text from page to page. In addition, you can use AutoFit Text to resize text to fit the size of the text frame. When you insert a text file, you can have Publisher use AutoFlow to insert the text in frames and connect them together. Connect Text Frames -
Select the first text frame you want to connect. This frame can be empty or it can contain text. -
| | Click the Connect Text Frames button on the Connect Frames toolbar. | -
| | Position the pitcher pointer over the empty text frame you want to connect. | -
Click the empty text frame to connect the two frames. Any overflow text will flow into the newly connected text frame. Disconnect a Text Frame -
| | Select the text frame you want to disconnect. | -
| | Click the Disconnect Text Frames button on the Connect Frames toolbar. | Insert a Continued Notice -
| | Select the text frame in which you want to add a notice. | -
| | Click the Format menu, and then click Text Box. | -

| | Select one or both of the Include Continued On Page and Include Continued From Page check boxes. | -
AutoFit Text -
| | Select the text frame you want to format. | -
| | Click the Format menu, and then point to AutoFit Text. | -
Click Best Fit or Shrink Text On Overflow. To turn off AutoFit Text, click Do Not AutoFit. Did You Know? You can delete a text frame from a chain . Select the text frame you want to delete, click the Edit menu, and then click Delete Object. | |
