One way of saving time and effort when creating a new project is to use templates. A project template is a special project file that lets you start a new project as a copy of a predefined project. Microsoft Project comes with 20 templates that cover projects ranging from planning an office move to deploying Active Directory. Create a Project from a Template - From the New Project task pane, select On My Computer from the Templates section.
- Select the template you want to use for your new project.
- Click OK.
