It's not like you need a special decoder to read this book. However, there are a few typographical conventions worth noting:

• Program text, functions, variables , and other "computer language" are set in a fixed-pitch fontfor example, var propCount=0; .

• Code lines that do not fit within the margins of the printed page are continued on the next line and are preceded by a code continuation character .

• Special notes or side discussions are offset as a way to both diverge from the main flow and offer a bit of a break to the topic at hand.
