Credibility is perhaps a project manager's most important asset. Sacrifice credibility and project managers soon lose trust with the very people he or she needs to work with to successfully complete a project. Authors like De Pree, Burns, Kouzes, and Posner all recognize the importance of the relationship between credibility and trust. Along with trust are ethics and integrity. Both are tied closely with trust; sacrificing one or both will jeopardize trust and, ultimately, credibility.
