You may find a need to disable replication. To do this, use the Disable Publishing and Distribution Wizard. To access the wizard, connect to the server in Enterprise Manager, select Tools | Replication | Disable Publishing. The Disable Publishing and Distribution Wizard performs the following tasks:

• Drops all publications on the server

• Drops any subscribers using the database

• Disables the distributor and removes the distribution database

The wizard has only one step, which confirms that you want to disable publishing on the server. When you invoke it, it removes all traces of replication on the server. You will have to reinstall replication to enable it again.
