If you already have a worksheet created in Excel, you can insert it directly into the Word document without having to retype the data. You can insert the worksheet in its original state which doesn't change, or you can insert the worksheet as a link that will update the Word document if the Excel worksheet changes.
Inserting an Entire Workbook
You can insert an entire previously created Excel workbook into a Word document, including multiple sheets. However, if a workbook has multiple sheets, only the currently displayed sheet will print in the document.
Copying a Workbook Portion
If you only want to place a portion of the Excel workbook into the Word document, you can use the copy and paste options to transfer the information.
NOTE
Optionally, click on the Edit menu and select Copy.
