Suppose that you want to place your text in a sort of helter-skelter pattern. You could create one letter at a time, place it, and then move on to the next one, but there's an easier way. Paint Shop Pro has a Convert Text to Curves feature that does most of the work for you!

It doesn't look like anything happened because all objects are selected together as a group .

NOTE

Optionally, select Ungroup from the Objects menu.

After the letters are sufficiently jumbled, you'll need to place them on a raster layer so that you can apply an effect.

Before applying special effects, you might want to merge all the layers into one.
