Novell GroupWise 7 Administrator Solutions Guide

You might want to allow your users some grace logins before they are forced to upgrade their GroupWise clients. This allows users the flexibility to install the GroupWise client at a more convenient time.

To do this, you need to edit SETUP.CFG in the GroupWise 7 SDD assigned to the post office. In addition to the changes to the SETUP.CFG file explained earlier in this chapter, you should put a value in the GraceLoginCount= argument. For example, if you wanted the users to have five grace logins before upgrading, the setting would look like this:

GraceLoginCount=5

The GraceLoginCount= argument, when combined with ForceUpdate=Yes, causes the GroupWise client installation to allow for grace logins before users are forced to upgrade their clients.
