LDAP authentication servers can be configured from ConsoleOne. With LDAP authentication there are some distinct advantages, including these:

• Users no longer need to remember an eDirectory and a GroupWise password.

• Even if users use GroupWise WebAccess or GroupWise Wireless, their passwords will be the same as their eDirectory passwords.

• When users change their password in GroupWise, it can also change their eDirectory passwords.

• Password expiration in GroupWise is now feasible because it's really just an eDirectory password.
