10.2. AIAG Standard

A nonprofit association, AIAG's primary goals are to reduce cost and complexity within the automotive supply chain and to improve speed to market, product quality, employee health and safety, and the environment.

The following RFID standard from AIAG enjoys widespread support from manufacturers and suppliers:

• AIAG B-11. Tire and Wheel Label and Radio Frequency Identification Standard. The current version provides a 96-bit number in EPCglobal (discussed later) data format for RFID tags and labels.
