J2EE Platform Web Services

IBM is a highly diversified technology vendor of Web Services developer tools, application server, and infrastructure platform. It has a Research and Development unit called alphaWorks that provides new Web Services tools. "Graduated" (mature) tools will be incorporated into the WebSphere product line or other commercial products. Figure B-4 shows the current WebSphere product architecture.
