Score Preferences

The Score Preferences window offers different behavior options that can be set on or off. One of the options that you will find here makes your cursor change to the Arrow tool after a symbol has been inserted. This is useful when you don't insert the same symbol very often and want to position your symbol precisely after you've inserted it. Most of the options are self-explanatory and are well documented, but if you don't know what an option does, click the Help button at the bottom of the page to get context-sensitive help.

How To

To change your score behavior preferences:

  1. Select Preferences from the File (PC)/Cubase(Mac) menu.

  2. Select the Scores option on the left side of the dialog box (see Figure 16.5).

  3. To toggle an option, click the option to add a check mark in the State column.

  4. Click Apply to accept your changes and then click OK to close the dialog box.

You will find most of the global preferences relating to the score in the Global Settings submenu found in the Score menu. These options offer a wide range of options you can set to make your score look and react the way you want.
