InDesign CS4 for Macintosh and Windows: Visual QuickStart Guide

The InDesign Interchange Format creates a InDesign Interchange Format file (INX). This INX file can then be opened using InDesign CS.

To open CS2 files using InDesign CS:

1.

Choose File > Export to open the Export dialog box.

2.

Choose InDesign Interchange from the Format (Mac) or Save as Type (Windows) menu.

3.

Name the INX file and click Save.

4.

In InDesign CS, choose File > Open and navigate to open the INX file. The INX file is converted into an InDesign CS file.

Tip

There are no further controls for the Interchange format.
