Managing your Google AdSense account is important if you want to continue receiving revenue from the ads that appear on your Web site. To manage your account, sign in to AdSense and click the My Account tab.

To see a quick summary of how much Google has paid you for your efforts, click the Payment History link located in the bar across the top of the tab. To notify Google of your tax information, click the Tax Information link, also located in the bar at the top of the tab. Here, you can fill out a W-9 form or select from a number of other forms, particularly when you or your business is not located in the United States or not subject to IRS tax collection.

Your account settings include these options:

• Login information: Change your Google account information outside of the AdSense account management page.

• Language and Contact Preferences: These are important if you want to receive additional information.

• Payee Information: This is important when you want to get paid. This is the address where payments can be sent unless you select EFT in the Payment Details section.

• Payment Details: Choose how you want to receive payment - in check form or by electronic funds transfer (EFT).

• Payment Holding: Select to have Google hold your payments until you want them released. This can help you with tax considerations, or perhaps you’re on vacation and don’t want checks for millions of dollars sitting in your unopened mail.

• Ad Type Preference: Select whether you want text and image ads or both, and whether to enable themed ads.

• Onsite Advertiser Sign-Up: Allow visitors to your site to sign up to be advertisers.

• Property Info: See a display of your currently created ad types, search boxes, and referrals.

Managing your information is one important task you should keep up on. Consider using Google Calendar to schedule a time to check up on your account settings and to read the Google AdSense Reports.
