MicrosoftВ® Office Word 2007 Step by Step (Step By Step (Microsoft))
12. Customizing Word
Chapter at a Glance
If you use Microsoft Office Word 2007 only occasionally, you might be perfectly happy with the default environment options and behind-the-scenes settings. However, if you create a lot of documents, you might find yourself wishing that you could change aspects of the program to customize it for the kinds of documents you create. In this chapter, you will explore the pages of the Word Options window to understand the ways in which you can customize the program. Then you will add buttons to the Word 2007 Quick Access Toolbar, and to a document's custom toolbar. Finally, you will create a keyboard shortcut for a command so that you can invoke it without using your mouse. See Also Do you need only a quick refresher on the topics in this chapter?
