11.1. JMS in the J2EE Environment

As of J2EE 1.3, compliant servers are required to provide a full JMS provider, including support for both point-to-point and publish-subscribe message destinations (these are described in detail next). So any compliant J2EE 1.3 (or later) server will have its own JMS server capable of hosting its own message destinations.
