Why is it important to understand the Help and Support Center? Because sooner or later, you're going to click Start | Help and Support and begin looking for the solution to a problem. The better you can navigate the Help and Support Center, the sooner you'll resolve your problem and get back to work. That's why it's important. And, part of that understanding is knowing what Help and Support options you have available. Most people can figure out how to conduct a search through help content without too much prodding, but not quite as many know what to do when their first pass leads to frustration. Now, however, you know that other avenues exist when you come up against an obstacle. As you've seen, you can search more efficiently, ask a friend for help, or post your issue to one of the XP Newsgroups. You even know how to restart the Help and Support Center without a reboot of your computer. And, you could always try a guided tour through one of the many featuresyou might catch something there that could spark a whole new way of accomplishing your task. |
