Lesson 2.14. Inserting and Deleting a Task Figure 2-19. Working with tasks in the project. This lesson will show you how to insert new tasks and delete tasks you no longer need. First, let's insert a new task in the project. Click the task ID where you want to insert the new task. The new task will be inserted above the selected task. Select Insert A new task is entered into the project, as shown in Figure 2-19. If you find that you don't need a task in the project, you should delete it. However, deleting tasks could decrease the overall quality of the project, so make sure the task you are planning to remove does not affect any other tasks. Click the task ID of the task you want to delete. Make sure you click the task IDthis selects the entire task, not just the contents of a cell. For example, simply clicking the task name and pressing Delete will clear the name of the task, but it won't delete the task itself.
