Centrino technology consists of three components: The Intel Pentium M family of processors, designed for enhanced mobile, low-power performance The Intel 855 or Intel Mobile 915 Express family of chipsets, which controls memory and graphics and is designed to work well in mobile applications with the Pentium M The Intel PRO/Wireless Network Connection, which implements Wi-Fi WLAN connectivity, as I explained to you earlier in this chapter From a conceptual viewpoint, the relationships between these components are shown in Figure 1.1.
