If you've ever thrown anything away and then pulled it out of the trash, you already know how the Recycle Bin works. When you delete files, they are placed in the Recycle Bin. You recover the files by removing them from the Recycle Bin and specifying the destination of the files.

When you open the Recycle Bin, you see:

• The name of the files that you deleted

• The original path the files existed in

• The date and time you deleted the files

• The type of the files

• The size of the files

  Warning

  When moving files from another networked computer to your Recycle Bin, you are deleting the files instead of placing them in the Recycle Bin. You will be prompted to confirm that you want to permanently delete the files.

If you click the File menu within the Recycle Bin, you can restore files, empty the Recycle Bin (at which point, you cannot recover those files), delete specific files, and see file properties.
