I'm Stuck With Flash Mx 2004Now What?

I don't mean to make this sound like a bad thing, but for some of you, it could be. Let's imagine that Flash MX 2004 has just hit the shelves and you were first in line to pick it up. The next day, a client asks you to create a Flash movie and give them the FLA files when you're done, but they only have Flash MX. What do you do?

Not to worry. When you go to save your Flash documents (File > Save or File > Save As), choose to save the FLA as a Flash MX document instead of a 2004 document. You have the best of both worlds, and you can still develop your own cutting-edge stuff in the new format. Now let's say the client wants you to save as a Flash 5 document. You tell them, "Sorry, I'm too cool for Flash 5." You lose the job, but you'll have a great story for your friends. The actual reason is that you are only able to save a FLA file in Flash MX or Flash MX 2004 format.
