Macromedia Flash MX 2004 Killer Tips

Not anymore. With each release of Flash, Macromedia offers more and more to people who intend to use Flash for presentations, video, and print. Flash 2004 is no different. In fact, some might say this release is the most aggressive yet in catering to those purposes. Open your document properties (CTRL-J), and at the bottom you'll see a new drop-down that lists different ruler units. The default is pixels, but you can easily change to inches, which makes more sense when publishing print materials.

If you've used Illustrator, Photoshop, or Fireworks (to name a few), this will not sound too impressive. However, for Flash, this is a long-awaited and helpful option that lets designers work with other mediums in mind, not just the web.
