Macromedia Flash MX 2004 Killer Tips

Having multiple images and sounds in your document is not uncommon. Typically, all these imported assets have Flash default compression settings applied to them. That's great if you want everything to look or sound the same. Let's say you have ten short rollover sounds and one track of music in your document. It's much more important that the music play back in good quality than the rollover sounds that are heard only for a brief moment.
Because every asset can have an individual purpose, it only makes sense that each would get its own settings as well. If you double-click any image or sound in the Library, you'll be given individual compression settings. Depending on the type of file you imported, the default can be different. Regardless, you can change them on an individual basis and give them a sense of individuality. It's too bad certain people I know don't have these settings. Then again, maybe they do. I'll have to check.
