When you build a template from an existing page, the page used has no relationship to the template. Because you want this page to be updated when the template is modified, you must build a relationship between the page and the template. In some cases, you might have developed a template that must be applied to existing pages that may already be marked up with previous template regions. You have two options:

• You can create a page using any of the methods discussed earlier and overwrite the existing page. This may be your simplest option as long as you haven't spent a great deal of time adding specific content to the page after the template was created.

• You can apply the template to the page. In the open document, choose Modify ® Templates ® Apply Template to Page or use the Template Assets to select your template and right-click (Control+click) to choose Apply.
