Effective Use of Microsoft Enterprise Library: Building Blocks for Creating Enterprise Applications and Services

In the latest version of the Security Application Block, the authentication, role management, and profile management features have all been deprecated because the .NET 2.0 Framework now provides the same functionality in the System.Web.Security.Membership class and System.Web.Profile namespace. Functionality for authorization and security caching remains unchanged.
