How long are the delays before a document appears in the assigned category?

Based on the type of indexing selected, the delay period between when a content source is updated and when this change is actually reflected back in the workspace index may vary significantly. The notification update is the most efficient and direct, whereas the full update is the most time-consuming and therefore the slowest. An incremental update falls somewhere between.

When a user creates a subscription, the user does not receive a subscription notification if the right to read the document is assigned through a Windows 2000 Authenticated User or other special SID, including

  • Anonymous Logon

  • Batch

  • Dialup

  • Interactive

  • Network
