Problem

You want to add a shortcut to your Taskbar that, when clicked, will open to a specific folder, let you choose from any folder on a hard disk, or launch to an Internet address.

Solution

Using a graphical user interface

  1. Right-click on the Toolbar and from the menu that appears, make sure that there is no check next to Lock the Taskbar.

  2. From the menu that appears, choose Toolbars New Toolbar.

  3. Browse to the folder, disk, or object you want to add as a shortcut on the Taskbar. If you want to add it as an Internet address, type in the Internet address.

  4. Click on OK.

  5. If you're satisfied with the position of the new toolbar, and want to lock it in position, right-click on the Taskbar and put a check next to Lock the Taskbar. Otherwise, you can move its position by dragging the handle that appears to the left of the new toolbar.
