The mix
Load 9platmix or 9goldmix or 9silvmix to view and hear a mix of 'Get Creative With Logic.'
Only one send effect is used, PlatinumVerb/GoldVerb on Bus 1, and the vocal and soprano saxophone make use of it (Figures P9.9 and P9.10).

Inserts are used for the guitar: Stereo Delay (Figure P9.11) and Limiter (Figure P9.12) with a soft limiting pre-set . Pitch Shift II (Figure P9.13) is used on the vocal to create a 'shadow' a fourth below the original.

An EQ plug-in, Hi-Pass (Figure P9.14) has been inserted after Pitch Shft II to reduce some of the lower, muddier frequencies. The higher frequencies are allowed through. Solo the track in the Track Mixer and toggle the Bypass switch on and off to hear how this has affected the vocal signal.

The vocal was recorded with the aid of an outboard compressor with a fairly high compression ratio, about 6:1. Further compression in Logic seems, to me anyway, unnecessary.
