A process that controls the automatic naming of files when new files are created, as used in ImageReady image slicing. When selected from the File, Output Settings, Slices menu, names can be automatically generated using a wide range of criteria, such as alpha numeric sequences, date stamping, and file format.

Film grain or digital artifacts visible in an image. Also refers to deliberately introduced random pixel variations, added for either artistic effect or production reasons.
