An in-camera metering system that emphasizes the tonal information found in the center portion of the frame.
- chromatic aberration
A misalignment of color channels that is sometimes visible at the edges of digital images. Notice the colored fringing that appears as a red, cyan, blue, or yellow discoloration around high-contrast edges.

Empty spaces or gaps within the tonal range of an image that appear as a result of over-processing. The histogram of such images have the shape of a comb.
