Page borders are borders that apply to entire pages of a document. They enable you to, in effect, frame document pages (Figure 31).
1. | If necessary, position the insertion point in the section of the document to which you want to apply page borders. |
2. | Choose Format > Borders and Shading (Figure 11) to display the Borders and Shading dialog. |
3. | If necessary, click the Page Border button to display its options (Figure 32). Figure 32. The Page Border pane of the Borders and Shading dialog. |
4. | Click a Setting icon to select the type of border. All options except None and Custom place borders around each side of the page. |
5. | Click a style in the Style scrolling list to select a line style. Then choose a line color from the Color pop-up menu (Figure 33) and a line thickness from the Width pop-up menu (Figure 34). 6. | If necessary, choose an option from the Apply to pop-up menu (Figures 9 and 10). |
7. | To apply custom borders, click the buttons in the Preview area to add or remove a line using the settings in the dialog. |
8. | When the Preview area illustrates the kind of border that you want to apply, click OK. |
