One of the first things you might want to do after setting up your blog is to change your password. Although the WordPress-generated password is secure, it isn't very easy to remember. You may want to change it to a password that's easier to remember. To change your password 1. | On the Dashboard, click the Users button. The Your Profile administration panel appears (Figure 28). After a moment, a note near the top of the page confirms that your profile has been updated. | Tips | We tell you more about Users options, including the Your Profile administration panel, in Chapter 5. On a WordPress.com blog, a note near the top of the Your Profile administration panel may provide an API key. This string of characters, which should be kept secret, is used for additional WordPress-compatible services, such as the Akismet anti-spam service. We explain how to use Akismet in Chapter 4.
