• Results of investigation of the companies. This should include the analysis of specific sample transactions. There should also be a list of potential business, technical, and political issues.

• Business plan for the merger and acquisition; migration plan for the businesses.

• Financial analysis and proposals.

• Before-combination measurement.

• Project plan for implementation.

• After-combination measurement.

• Detailed changes, organization charts, etc.

A guideline here is to not only define these, but also to develop detailed outlines as templates. As was said in Chapter 5, you want to involve employees in the development of these templates. If the employees are involved, there is less anxiety and more commitment.
