Appendix A. Rewire, Recycle!, Rebirth

In addition to Reason, the folks at Propellerhead Software make several other audio-related products. Though you don't necessarily need them to use Reason, they all enhance your virtual studio.

The ReWire technology, which is built into Reason, allows it to work seamlessly with many other audio applications. Reload and ReFill Packer (covered in Appendix B, "Resources") are both free to registered Reason owners and enable you to create your own patches and ReFills. The ReCycle! and ReBirth programs are stand-alone applications that can be used with or without Reason.
