MCSE Training Kit(c) Microsoft Windows 2000 Accelerated 2000
This self-paced training kit contains hands-on practices to help you learn about Windows 2000 Professional. Because this kit covers networking information, a minimum of two computers are required to complete all the exercises in this kit. These should be computers that do not contain useful data as you will be reformatting both computers multiple times throughout the exercises in this training kit. If the computers do contain data that you do not wish deleted, make sure you back up important data so you can restore it once you have completed the exercises.
Hardware Requirements
Each computer must have the following minimum configuration. All hardware should be on the Microsoft Windows 2000 Hardware Compatibility List.
Hardware | Minimum requirements |
---|---|
Processor | One processor, Intel Pentium II, 133 MHz or higher (up to four processors are supported) |
Memory | 128 MB (256 MB recommended) |
Hard disk | One or more hard drives with a minimum of 2.5 GB between the drives. One drive should have at least 1 GB of free space on the boot partition. |
Video | VGA or higher video card and monitor |
Other components | CD-ROM installation: CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive |
Networking | Network interface card and related cables |
Accessories | Keyboard and mouse or other pointing device. To make full use of the multimedia presentations, a sound card and speakers or headphones should be available. |
