Teach Yourself VISUALLY Word 2003

You can apply italics, boldface, or underlining to text in your document to emphasize it.

1. Select the text that you want to emphasize.

2. Click the Bold icon (), the Italic icon (), or the Underline icon () on the Standard toolbar.

   Word applies the emphasis you selected.

3. Click anywhere outside the selection to continue working.
