How does Word handle printing when I insert a section break?

Section breaks are formatting marks that do not print; instead, the effects of the section break are apparent when you print. For example, if you insert a Next Page section break ( changes to ), Word starts the text that immediately follows the section break on a new page.

What happens if I select Even page or Odd page?

Word starts the next section of your document on the next even or odd page. If you insert an Even page section break ( changes to ) on an odd page, Word leaves the odd page blank. Similarly, if you insert an Odd page section break ( changes to ) on an even page, Word leaves the even page blank.
