Working in any view, you can view footnote or endnote text, modify the text, or delete the footnote or endnote.
VIEW FOOTNOTES OR ENDNOTES

Position the mouse
over the footnote or endnote number in your document. The mouse
changes to . A ScreenTip appears, displaying the footnote or endnote text.
EDIT FOOTNOTES OR ENDNOTES

Double-click the footnote or endnote reference number in your document.
In Normal view, Word displays the footnote or endnote in the Footnotes pane. -
Edit the text of the note as needed.

Click Close when you finish editing.
DELETE A FOOTNOTE OR ENDNOTE

Select the number of the footnote or endnote you want to delete.

Press
on your keyboard. Word removes the footnote or endnote number and related information from the document and automatically renumbers subsequent footnotes or endnotes.
Can I print endnotes on a separate page?

Click in your document immediately before the first endnote.

Click Insert.

Click Break.

In the Break dialog box, click the Page break option (
changes to ). -
Click OK.
Word inserts a page break immediately before the endnotes, placing them on a separate page at the end of your document.
