Absolute Beginners Guide to Tablet PCs
In This Chapter
PowerToys are small applications that increase functionality and enjoyment of the Tablet PC. Some PowerToys are distinctly businesslike in their functionality; those are the applications I discuss in this chapter. Specifically, you will see a calculator and some display-management tools. (The Snipping tool is probably the most useful of the bunch, because it enables you to grab a portion of the screen and copy it into another application, such as an email program.) Other PowerToys are designed with fun in mind, and you'll read about some of them in the next chapter. That's not to say that you'll learn about every PowerToy in this book, however. There are a few that I've chosen not to cover because I found them to be problematic or of little use. In any case, to download PowerToys, go to www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/tabletpc/downloads/powertoys.asp. Because the PowerToys are so easy to install (just follow the instructions provided by the installation wizards), I don't cover the details of installing each application. Accepting the defaults for each will be sufficient. |
