Absolute Beginners Guide to Tablet PCs
The Hold tool for Tablet PC enables you to turn off the press-and-hold feature of the pen for controls such as scroll bars, push buttons, slider controls, and more. This can make your tablet usage a bit easier and a lot less frustrating. To enable the tool, just run it. (If you want it to start when you start your Tablet PC, you can put it in your Startup folder under the Start, Programs menu.) When the program is running, you'll see an icon in your System Tray that looks like a fat scroll bar. Click it and choose About to see the dialog box shown in Figure 13.7, which describes exactly what the tool does. Figure 13.7. When you tap the Hold Tool icon in the System Tray and then tap About, you will see this dialog box.
To turn off the Hold tool, again tap the tool's System Tray icon, but this time choose the Active option to remove the check mark there, as shown in Figure 13.8. Figure 13.8. Turn off the Hold tool by tapping its System Tray icon and then tapping the Active option to remove the check mark.
