| To test your microphone, follow these steps: 1. | Choose Start > Programs. | 2. | Find the Entertainment section of the Accessories menu, and click Sound Recorder. | 3. | When the Sound Recorder panel is displayed, try to record your speech through the microphone. | 4. | Try to play your recording back. | 5. | If you still can't hear your recording, go the Sounds and Audio section of Control Panel and try adjusting the microphone settings until the recording test works, or refer to Chapter 7 for additional help. |
